LATE CANCELLATION POLICY & BOOKING FEES
After much thought and consideration and due to a recent high volume of last-minute cancellations and no shows, we have updated our booking and cancellation policy as follows.
Booking fees are 50% of the total cost of the service unless told otherwise. We may round this up or down to the nearest pound.
Booking fees can be paid by credit/debit card (In salon only), bank transfer or cash. Card details are not stored and are processed in salon while you wait.
Booking fees will be deducted from the bill total when paying, leaving the remaining 50% to pay on the day of the service.
Booking fees are non-refundable if you cancel with less than 24 hours notice or fail to attend your appointment. You will lose your booking fee.
Booking fees may be refunded or transferred if re-scheduling your appointment before the 24 hour cancellation period. However If you choose to move your appointment with less than 24 hours notice of your scheduled appointment this will also invoke the above policy. You will only be able to do this once. If you choose to move the appointment for a second time with less than 24 hours notice, your booking fee will be taken as a ‘fee’ towards the loss of earnings of the stylist and the business and then will become non refundable. You will then be required to pay another booking fee for any future bookings.
Patch/allergy testing and consultations
All new clients and clients returning after 6 months or more will be invited into the salon for a consultation and patch/allergy test. This is where the stylist can discuss your needs and make sure that you are patch/allergy tested with the correct products that will be used during your colouring service.
An allergy test at IceHouse Hair Studio MUST be carried out at least 48 hours prior to your colour appointment. Please note that you may need testing for more than one product range depending on your requirements, which will need to be done 48 hours apart, with the last test being 48 hours before your colour appointment. There are no exceptions to this rule.
Consultations are then valid for 4 weeks and your colour appointment must be booked within this time. The booking fee will be taken at the time of the consultation and/or allergy testing. We cannot reserve your appointment until the booking fee is paid.
We know things crop up and we understand busy lives can mean changes to your schedule, find all the info you need for cancelling your appointment below.
If you are unable to attend your appointment please notify us as soon as you can (more than 24 hours would be great), this helps us re-allocate your slot. You may know how busy we can get and how frustrating it is when we can’t fit you in, so this helps us free up spaces for those wanting to book. We will do our best to re-schedule you in at our next availability.
Cancellations or amendments including cancelling part of a service with less than 24 hours notice or unattended appointments will result in the loss of your booking fee.
Where a booking fee has not been taken and you have missed an appointment or cancelled with less than 24 hours notice you will be required to leave a 50% booking fee for future bookings.
Ways to cancel: Via telephone 0161 431 0979 or outside normal salon hours 07394 923273. We will need at least 24 hours notice.
Please do not: Message on social media, text or email as we cannot guarantee we will see this in time and may then invoke the booking fee being lost. Also messaging an individual employee over Facebook or text WILL NOT be deemed as a 24 hour cancellation notice and the booking fee will then become Non refundable.
What if I still want part of my service?
If you wish to remove part of your services, i.e. just have a Cut and blow without the colour after booking for a colour service, please let us know at least 24 hours before the appointment time so that we can reduce the length of your booking. Failing to do so will result in you being charged in full for the service you were originally booked for.
Thank you for your understanding.
